Family Session: The Bennie Family by Hollie Macomber

Today’s Cup of Tea: I love tea—but today I picked up a cappuccino from a local coffee shop to enjoy. I love the taste of coffee, which is one reason I tend to shy away from super sweet syrups that mask the actual flavor. During my stint as a Starbucks barista, I developed a deep-seeded disgust for the sauces they use in quite a few of their most popular drinks—specifically white chocolate, and yes, the pumpkin sauce for the infamous PSL.

Christmas Snapshots by Hollie Macomber

Today’s Cup of Tea: Lavender Earl Grey from Churchill’s Fine Teas. This is one of the best versions of Earl Grey! And it’s the perfect match for editing shots from Christmas Day in my parent’s village. We braved the wind to take a turn around the neighborhood and the results were magical! But the best part was the hot coffee and gingerbread cake waiting for us when we got back. Merry Christmas!

An Evening in Naxos (2021) by Hollie Macomber

Today’s Cup of Tea: Doctor Goodwin from Olipop. I’m not the biggest fan of soda—it’s just to sweet, which is one reason I love Olipop! And I’m not sure how to describe this flavor, but I really like it. According to the can it’s “a head-on collision of all-natural ingredients like rich plums, sweet prunes, and zesty tart cherries.” Would I ever admit to liking a prune-type soda? Nope. But I actually really like this one!

Soaking up the colors of a vibrant sunset is one of my favorite things to do, especially in Greece. I love everything about the island of Naxos! I have so many photos to share, but I will start with shots from our last night there. On Naxos, people walk out to the Temple of Apollo (Portara) to soak up the sunset each evening. Locals and tourists sit out on the edge of the shore, watching the sun sink below the sea; while we were there everyone was quiet until the sun disappeared, sending off the light with a round of applause.

I can’t wait to go back.
